Today, Rep. Schaefer was honored to host the Apache Belles, from Tyler Junior College, at the Texas State Capitol. The Belles received a private tour of the House Floor and were recognized by the House of Representatives during session. They were also given a chance to tour the Capitol and meet with local elected officials before performing in the Inaugural Parade. Governor Greg Abbott also took his first public photo after being sworn into office with the Apache Belles.

The Apache Belles have been entertaining audiences since 1947. They are known for entertaining service men and women not only in Texas but around the world, recently performing in Japan, Germany, South Korea, and Hawaii. The Belles were also the first official spirit team for the Dallas Cowboys, traveling the country to perform at games, including Super Bowl XII.

Coming from all over the state, the Apache Belles are represented by over 25 different members of the House of Representatives. We were honored to host Tyler Junior College’s Apache Belles and are proud of the way they represented Tyler at the Inaugural Events.
